Frequently Asked Questions

Simple, Fuss-Free, Web Sites. Just Tell Us How You’d Like It To Look

How much does using your service cost?
As per our pricing page, current fees are £79+vat per page of your website. You may choose some of our own stock photography to boost your own, for £10+vat per picture, and then for ongoing support and updates there is a Pay As You Go option, or an Annual Update package for businesses needing to make regular changes (with this you get reduced rates on other services too).

How do I get my page text and my own photography to you?
You can email page text and digital photo’s to us ). If we are able to digitise hard copy photo’s we will, but there may be a charge for this depending on the complexity of the photograph quality.
Send us your digital images as .jpg or .gif, and please re-size to a max’ file size of 200k.

How do I use NetDrivers photographs?
If you feel your pages might benefit from some extra suitable shots that can apply to your business or premises or environment, just ask us for ideas and we’ll fill in your pages with some samples, and you can see what you think.

I already have a website and hosting package, how do I use my new website you’ve built for me?
You can approach your current hosters and ask if they will be happy to take the new site and host it under your domain name for you. Sometimes, if your current web company haven’t written the new site themselves they will decline to host another company’s work. This is no problem, you can either arrange a new hosting package yourself and get the domain name of your business transferred to the new hoster, or we can arrange hosting and transfer ourselves. Our own facility is priced at £4.95 per month + vat. You will need to talk to the registrants of your business domain name to instigate the transfer to the new hosting package. This is a simple process.

Will I be able to make changes before my new website goes ‘live’?
Absolutely. We want you to be happy with it, so once you’ve agreed style and layout we’ll put the website onto a dummy test site which you can access on the internet, You can review how it looks and come back to us with ‘tweaks’ you want making before the ‘live’ site is loaded onto your domain name host.

How long will it take to get my new website?
Provided your text and photography is ready and requires no lengthy retyping at our end, and there is no complex text or layout required, your site can usually be ready within 14-21 days. Tell us if it really urgent and we’ll try to help. If you are changing hosters, the timing may be dictated by that transfer process.

How do I pay?
We will agree the number of pages your website needs to contain with you once we’ve been able to look at your requirement, and we will invoice you for a 30% deposit based on our standard full rate of £79+vat per page. This means your deposit will be payable within 7 days of instruction and will be at the rate of £23.70+vat per page.

This deposit is non-refundable. Our reputation rides on good service and a quality product, so we do have to allow ourselves some protection for our time, work and copyright.

The balance will be invoiced to you on completion and before your website goes ‘live’, and will be payable within 7 days

What about paying for further changes?
You can use our Pay As You Go process - for clients who make rare changes to their site. These will be invoiced to you as soon as the change has been done for you and are payable within 7 days.

Alternatively, you can opt for our Annual Update package which allows you a monthly site content change to one page plus some other reduced cost benefits. The Annual Package is invoiced to you at the start of your agreement and is payable in full within 14 days. If you do not use all elements of your Annual Package there is no credit for unused portions, nor any carry-over to the following charging period.

How long will it take for changes or updates to be made?
We’ll usually be able to do them straight away (within 12-48hrs max depending on when we receive the change data from you and its format). On a small number of occasions our editing staff may be unavailable, we’ll email all customers if that happens, in advance, to warn you of dates they may be unable to make changes
.

Please Note
A
page will be deleted for free and navigation amended on the site to account for its loss, but any replacement page with a different title header to that deleted, and thus needing new creation, will be invoiced at the ‘Add a new page’ rate on either of the ‘Ongoing Support and Update’ schemes shown on the Pricing page

How do I terminate my agreement with NetDrivers and who owns the website for my business?
You will own the website, it is your intellectual property. We retain the html code to enable us to make your changes when required, but that can be handed to you if you need to end your business, close your website, or move elsewhere.

If you have opted for our hosting package we require one month’s notice in writing.

If you have opted for our Annual Package for change management, we require one month’s notice in writing to terminate the agreement and we will refund any un-used months following the period of your month’s notice.
